The Recovery and Resilience Plan for Malta is extending support through non-repayable cash grants via the newly introduced Digitalise Your Business Scheme, which is replacing the SME Digitalisation Grant Scheme and Digital Intensification Grant Scheme. Tailored for businesses seeking to invest in the digital transformation of their operations, the Scheme aims to enhance new digital capabilities and processes, ultimately improving resilience, efficiency, productivity and customer experience.

This Scheme is available for micro, small, medium and large enterprises. It shall remain operational until 30 June 2026, subject to availability of funds and it will be administered through a series of competitive calls. Applicants operating in the manufacturing and tourism sectors shall be given priority. It is worth noting that the Digitalise Your Micro Business Scheme is still open for Micro businesses, and this was extended until 30 June 2026.

The Digitalise Your Business Scheme provides a maximum funding of €120,000 per digitalisation investment, along with a 7% flat rate to finance any indirect costs. The aid intensity is set at 50% for investments in Malta and 60% for those in Gozo. This Scheme falls within the terms and conditions of the De Minimis aid rules, whereby a single undertaking is limited to an overall capping of €300,000 over a three-year rolling period.
