Anna Herrera

Anna is a Director within the VAT practice at Zampa Partners. An accountant by profession, she started her career with a big four firm where she built extensive experience advising local and international businesses. Throughout her career, Anna has helped organisations manage VAT risk, support growth and make informed decisions in an increasingly dynamic business environment

With her expertise in the financial services industry, Anna advises banks, assets managers, insurers, and other regulated businesses on complex VAT matters. Anna combines technical knowledge with a practical understanding of how businesses operate, helping clients address VAT challenges while supporting their wider commercial objectives. A secondment with a big four firm in Ireland further broadened her exposure to international VAT issues affecting the industry.

In addition, her wider tax experience in due diligence, structuring, and compliance enables her to bring a broader commercial perspective to business decisions, transactions, and organisational change.  

Anna is an active contributor to the profession through technical publications, conferences, and industry discussions. She is also part of the Indirect Tax Technical Committee and lectures on the VAT module at MIT.
